Mark Tomason - Building Consultant

With nearly 30 years in the carpentry trade under his builder’s belt, Mark Tomason brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to his new role as Small Job Estimator for Guyco.

“I’ve been self employed in building and carpentry, worked in drafting building designs and as an employee for building companies,” he says. “So, the costing and pricing work I now do for Guyco comes as second nature.”

He also appreciates the variety this work offers. The balance of site visits and office work affords him the opportunity to watch and participate in the progress of a project from its very beginning to completion. “I find that the most satisfying part of building work,” he says.

As a place to work, Guyco seemed a good choice for Mark. He saw the company as a strong one with sound leadership.

“I ran my own building company in Whangarei for ten years, so I know the local industry,” he says. “Guyco has a good reputation and I’m happy to be here.”
